OHSU tram

A couple weekends ago, my parents came to visit which was so much fun. On Saturday we pretended to be tourists and took a ride up the OHSU gondola-style tram. It was an amazing view from up on the hill! We ate dinner at a restaurant that we recently discovered, Iorio, in SE Portland and had delicious Italian food. It was a relaxing weekend of catching up!

kangaroos in Eugene?!?!

Last weekend we were in Eugene for Emily and Matt's wedding (Emily is Jeff's cousin). On Saturday while all of us were out to lunch, we ran into a woman who raises kangaroos!! She had one with her, just a baby, so we took turns holding it and taking pictures. What are the chances you would ever see a kangaroo anywhere by Australia?! (by the way, possibly our next trip...) She carries it around in a pouch 24 hours a day for the first 24 months, but once it is an adult it will be 7 feet tall!
