sunny sunday

Just a quick note...
Happy Mother's Day to all of my wonderful family and girlfriends who are moms. You ladies have a difficult job and you don't get enough credit for what you do. Thanks for showing everyone what a great mom should be! :)

Anyways, moving on to the weekend's happenings. We spent yesterday and today with Jeff's family, soaking up as much glorious sun as possible. Did I mention it was around 70 degrees??! What a tease - the rain will be back tomorrow. But, summer will be here any day!

Above are some pictures of the outside-fun we had around Portland.
  • Walked around Mississippi Ave. in Portland, stopped at a brewery and checked out the sights
  • BBQ'ed a huge dinner last night on our back deck
  • Had a campfire on the patio
  • Ate brunch (which Jeff made) this morning in the sun on the deck, once again
  • Took a great little walk at Tryon Creek State Park
  • Mmmm...got yogurt from UU Yogurt in Lake Oswego...the unbelievable substance which is fat free but sure doesn't taste like it.
And most of all, we exposed our delicate, fragile, Oregon-whitened skin to the never-seen sun! Thank goodness, because it may be in for a shock when we step off the plane in Aruba in only one week!!! Yahoo!!!
